Manny Mars Returns to Face Newcomer Douglas James

PREMIER is all about opportunity, but it’s up to the competitors in the ring to seize it. On Sunday, March 6th, two young Athletes will have their chance to make PREMIER XII their night of opportunity. Manny Mars (0-1) returns to face newcomer Douglas James (0-0) in one-on-one action.

Manny Mars made his PREMIER debut at the end of 2014. In a lucky exchange of events, Mars was added to the card as a substitute opponent for “The Unorthodox Jew” Levi Shapiro (1-0). Manny was in the right place at the right time as PREMIER President John LaRocca needed a last minute replacement. Upon the recommendation of Gold Rush Bootcamp Owner Sparkey Ballard, Mars was added to the PREMIER VII card. Though he fought valiantly in his debut bout, Mars would get caught in a Torture Rack backbreaker and submit to Shapiro. Now, Manny Mars returns to face a new challenge and hopefully make his way up the PREMIER Rankings.

Douglas James has made a name for himself in many southern California promotions. Now making his way north, James joins the PREMIER Roster in search of his next great opportunity. His fighting style is similar to his upcoming opponent’s: fast-paced and explosive. What makes him such a threat is his momentum. When Douglas James starts to build up a head of steam, he can become nearly unstoppable. He hopes that momentum will also send him climbing the PREMIER Rankings. But will his opponent create an unfortunate road block on James’ path towards success?
