The clock is ticking down until PREMIER VIII: Kratos vs Lewis on March 20th in San Jose, CA! With just over a month until the big dance at Del Mar High School, PREMIER is excited to announce that “The Golden Boy” Dylan Drake (3-3) and “El Pistolero” Julio Pedroza (3-2) are set to face each other in singles action!

When we last saw Dylan Drake in action at PREMIER VI: Cobb vs Kratos, he faced off against “The Filipino Dynamo” John Redito (0-4). Drake fended off Redito for the majority of the match, eventually defeating his opponent in less than five minutes by locking him into the “Bay to Breaker” Sharpshooter hold. “The Golden Boy” has now managed to claim all of his victories with his variation of the legendary submission, including tap outs from “Ace” Buddy Royal (2-3) and AJ Kirsch (0-2). A win at PREMIER VIII would push Dylan Drake back above .500, but an adventurous young Athlete stands between him and his climb toward the PREMIER Heavyweight Championship.

Ever since his debut with PREMIER in the fall of 2013, “El Pistolero” Julio Pedroza has been a fan favorite. A nominee for 2014 Match of the Year with Marcus Lewis (4-2), Pedroza has proven time and again that he can hold his own against the best of them. He showed this strength once more in a match against Nick Ruiz (3-4) at PREMIER VII. The two Athletes exchanged attacks, holds, and takedowns for nearly ten minutes, but it was Pedroza who dealt the final blow with his “Pistol Rack” TKO Slam. Now Julio Pedroza looks to earn his first PREMIER victory over an in-ring veteran.

On Friday, March 20th in San Jose, CA, it’ll be “The Golden Boy” Dylan Drake and “El Pistolero” Julio Pedroza giving it their all as both Athletes seek to secure a spot in the top five. Who will walk out of PREMIER VIII: Kratos vs Lewis with the win? The only way to learn the answer to that question is to be there live!
