For the first time ever, PREMIER is coming to San Jose, CA! In the main event, PREMIER Heavyweight Champion JR Kratos (5-2) will defend the title against San Jose native Marcus Lewis (4-2)!
Back on November 22nd, JR Kratos successfully defended the Heavyweight Championship against “Double D” Dave Dutra (4-4). In what would be the third and final match between the two PREMIER Athletes, both men gave everything they had in front of the crowd in Gilroy, CA. The main event fight left both men battered, bruised, and in Kratos’ case, bloodied. Despite straining his hamstring towards the end of the brawl, JR Kratos managed to retain the title. Now he travels to San Jose to face an opponent who has shown time and again that it’s the size of the fight in the dog that matters.
Marcus Lewis has been on a winning streak dating all the way back to December of 2013. His most recent victory came against Olympian and former PREMIER Heavyweight Champion “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb (4-2-1). Lewis, the smaller and younger competitor, kept pace with the former champ, managing to escape and survive much of Cobb’s fearsome repertoire. The match concluded with Marcus Lewis delivering his crowd-favorite 450 Splash to his opponent in order to claim the win. The victory earned the young Athlete from San Jose a title shot against one of the biggest men in PREMIER history.
