“Double D” Dave Dutra Retires

On December 19th 2014 at APW Kristmas Kaos, “Double D” Dave Dutra wrestled his final match. In a Career vs Title match against APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Rik Luxury, Dutra put up a valiant effort before the fans in Daly City. “Double D” Dave Dutra began his storied career with APW in November of 2008; it’s only fitting that he had the opportunity to fight one last time for the house that Roland Alexander built. Dutra was trained at the APW Boot Camp by Larry Blackwell and JJ Perez.

Dutra made his debut with PREMIER on March 24th, 2013, becoming the first-ever PREMIER Heavyweight Champion after defeating Tough Enough contestant AJ Kirsch and JR Kratos in the Heavyweight Championship Tournament. “Double D” has wrestled in eight matches for PREMIER, a current record among the roster of Athletes. Three of his matches took place against current PREMIER Heavyweight Champion JR Kratos, a record the two share together.

Dutra’s final match with PREMIER took place on November 22nd, 2014 in the main event against JR Kratos.

John LaRocca and Daniel Martinez wish all the best to “Double D” Dave Dutra in all his future endeavors.
